  • Managing Committee meets Indian Ambassador to Kuwait

     

     

    Buntara Sangha Managing Committee (2012) meets His Excellence Shri. Satish Chand Mehta, the Indian Ambassador to Kuwait on 02nd May, 2012 at the Indian Embassy. Buntara Sangha President Mr. Satishchandra Shetty introduced his team and briefed the various activities and contribution the Association has been engaged.

     

    The team expresses their gratitude to the Ambassador for his valuable time and discussion.

    Ugadi Parba-2012

    The Managing Committee is pleased to announce their Inaguaral Event "Ugadi Parba" on the occassion of Ugadi. The aim of celebrating this joyous festival is to bring all BSK family together and to celebrate this Hindu New Year traditionally. BSK committee is putting in all efforts to make this event a memorable one with variety of fun filled cultural activities for all their members beginning with blessings of almighty.

  • BSK Concludes AGM-2012


    BSK held their Annual General Meeting on Friday 27th January,2012 at Al Jawhara Al Saleh School, Riggae. The function began with the divine blessings in the form of Satya Narayan Pooja followed by the new Managing Committe being elected and concluded with Cultural activities lauded by all members. The function was well attended by BSK members and their families.

    Bunts Mela 2011 enthralls crowd to Mangalore memory by-lanes

    BSK managing committee with the supports of their members gave a true carnival atmosphere typically celebrated in Mangalore with all its glory, festivity and games. It was a first of its kind for BSK to have such a fun filled event for its members and friends, and the show was remarkably a huge success.
    The event started with the traditional lighting of the lamp to the almighty by the President and the managing committee members followed by the opening of the Food and Games stall.  The stalls were all dressed in bright colors with shamiana and decorations. The mood was electrifying with the stall owners serving Bunts delicacies and sweets. Barbeque was around the corner serving both Veg and Non-veg grills. The games stall were equally creative and created an energetic mood for kids and adults to relax and have fun. One of the noticing stall "Namma Gudangadi" gave a glimpse of typical Mangalorean style of store with everything under the shade from items sold in mini bottles to fish fry, tender coconut etc including games played besides.   • BSK-Bunts Directory

    BSK-Bunts Directory

    BSK managing committee has taken an intuitiveness to release BSK Bunts Directory soon. The objective of the directory is to serve the BSK Bunts community and make awareness on Who's who among its members, and also enable to have listing to a strong database.  The directory shall also help newcomers to Kuwait to connect among their peers, thus helping themselves and enriching BSK growth.
    The managing committee as always need BSK members support and active contribution. The MC along with its sub-committee members shall be keenly involved to gather latest information from members. The layout of the page shall be designed to have 2 members (family status) details and their snap, while for Individual member status, 4 members shall be included on each page.  BSK Bunts entrepreneurs who would be interested in showcasing their business, shall be given priority to advertise on the directory. Contribution from Individuals and Family members are welcome and appreciated.

    Invitation to Bunts Mela

    The Managing Committee yet again enthralls to a curtain raiser event "Bunts Mela". Come and enjoy a fun filled day-long event with lots of festivity and games. Enjoy authentic mouth-watering Bunts delicacies prepared by our own BSK members. Beat the chill with dance and music. DJ will be in house to Rock you.     As part of Bunts Mela, the managing committee invites kids from age group 4-16 yrs to take part in the Drawing/Painting competition. Parents are requested to kindly contact on the above mentioned telephone nos. and give their child names and details for the competition. Winners and Runners-up from each group shall be acknowledged with their drawings/paintings on BSK website and future BSK publishings.

    Buntaayana 2011 entertains to packed audience

    Buntara Sangha Kuwait (BSK) under the president ship of Sudhakar Shetty presented the much awaited Mega Cultural event ‘Buntaayana 2011’  sponsored by UAE Exchange at the Cambridge School Auditorium on Friday October 21, to full packed audience.
    The program started with prayer song followed by invocation dance directed by Sujaya Shetty, Reetha Shetty and Shanthala Menda.  Famous dignitaries and personalities of Bunts community Folklore expert Arya Laxmi Narayana Alva, Ex minister- MLA Ramanath Rai, Entrepreneur Shashi Kiran Shetty, Professor and Principal Balakrishna Shetty, Yakshagana fame Karnataka state award winner Aruya Koragappa Shetty and team, Hussein Al Shatty,  Ayed Al-Daajani  and Percely Varkey,  Country Head of UAE Exchange the Mega Sponsors of the event were the guests of honor.  They along with managing committee inaugurated the function by lighting the traditional lamp and decorating coconut flowers. Vice president Preeti Shetty welcomed the gathering. 
    President Sudhakar Shetty on his speech explained the history of bunts and their contribution to the society.  The sponsors of the event  and the Kuwaiti guests were felicitated with mementos during the function.     Buntaayana 2011-A Cultural & Yakshagana Program

    Buntara Sangha Kuwait is pleased to announce the much awaited Mega Cultural Program "Buntaayana 2011" on friday 21st October 2011, at the Cambridge School Auditorium (Al Mangaf Makka Street, Opp. The Sultan Centre) Mangaf - Kuwait. The event shall be a cultural bonanza with various dance, music and comedy skits performed by the members of BSK. The main highlight of the event shall be Yakshagana, the famous traditional folk drama of our Tulunadu which shall be performed by the renowned artists flown from India.     Buntara Sangha Managing Committee meets the newly appointed H.E. Mr. Satish Chand Mehta, Indian Ambassador to Kuwait on 17th October 2011 at the Indian Embassy.     An Evening with Chandrahas Adyanthaya

    BSK Managing Executive Committee members had the privilege to meet Mr. Chandrahas Adyanthaya (President of Bunts Sangha Ullala Valaya and President of Rotary Club Mangalore Central) on his maiden personal visit to Kuwait at BSK's President Sudhakar Shetty Aikala residence. He was felicitated by BSK senior member Mr. Jayakar Shetty. Mr.Chandrahas Adyanthaya spoke on his association with Bunts Sangha and the Rotary Club and gave an insight of the various program conducted by his organization. On behalf of BSK, we wish him good luck in his future endeavor.

    Bunts Get-Together

    Buntara Sangha Kuwait (BSK)with all its glory inaugurated their first event the “Bunts Get-Together” on Friday April 15, 2011 at the Canadian Bilingual School, South Khaitan. The function started with lighting the lamp and the special Yugadi pooja was conducted thereafter. The function was well attended by BSK members and their family. The event marked a new beginning among the members and towards the end of the day, the atmosphere were filled with joy and enthusiasm. The crowd were mesmerized by some outstanding performance by its own members. The ever-green tulu song “Yekka Sakka” was given a new face lift by the BSK “Bunta Bollilu” with some unmatched foot-steps. The yesteryear picturised melodious song “Paapi Bichua” was performed quite well.  The crowd was spellbound by the performance put by the Kids team and the solo Instrumental music by Master Nikhil Shetty on the organ and flute. Mr. Prakash Shetty once again proved he is a talented singer rendering couple of beautiful compositions.
    The much awaited traditional yugadi lunch from Avanti Palace treated the crowd with mouth-watering cuisines. The afternoon session lived to its expectation, with the members coming out of the nut-shell and participating heart filled.
