• BSK-MC (2013) meets Indian Ambassador to Kuwait

  

   

  Buntara Sangha Managing Committee (2013) met His Excellency Shri. Satish C Mehta, the Indian Ambassador to Kuwait on 12th May, 2013 at the Indian Embassy.

  The President Mr. Umesh Shetty Adve, introduced the Managing Committee members to Ambassador and briefed him about the various activities of the Sangha and its endeavor for the betterment of community.

  The Ambassador asked Sangha members to inform the Embassy about any Indian citizen needing assistance & assured the best possible co-operation. The team expressed their gratitude to the Ambassador for his valuable time.

• BSK Celebrates Ugadi Parba with grandeur

       

  Buntara Sangha – Kuwait celebrated Ugadi Program on Friday 5^th April 2013 at Indian community school Khaitan, in a spectacular fashion, witnessed by a large number of members and their families.

   

  The venue was beautifully decorated with flowers “Rangoli” and “diya”s by the Buntara sangha PR committee members led by Mrs Sujaya Shetty. Satyanarayan Pooja marked an auspicious beginning to the day’s activity. This was followed by “Haldi Kumkum” ceremony for married couples, led by Mrs Shalini Yadunath Alva & Mrs Shakila Shetty, providing a festive ambience to the audience.   Buntara Sangha Kuwait held their Annual General body meeting on Friday 11th January 2013 at Salmiya Wedding Hall. The program commenced with a prayer followed by the traditional lighting of lamp by the Managing Committee.. Welcome address was given by Vice President Mr.Soma ShekarRai.  Mr. Jaysheel Shetty, General Secretary, presented the Annual report highlighting the various cultural and social activities organized in the past year. • BSK Picnic, 2012

  

  Buntara Sangha Kuwait organized their Family Picnic 2012 on 30^th November at the KOC Ahmadi Garden. The event started with the members taking part in the Kuwait national anthem followed by breakfast. As members poured in full strength various sports and games were conducted. Kids were entertained with the track and lemon and spoon race, while the elders both gents and ladies participated in the tracks, Couple games like tracks and relay including Three Leg race provided the extra entertainment and thrill. Kabbadi, Tug-of-war and Tarai-Katta were the major highlights as they were played with all vigour and to the cheers of the crowd. A stupendous lunch was provided by Oriental Restaurant to all the members. The later part of the session had befitting enthusiastic couple game “Snatching the bride” and the much awaited Housie. • Buntaayana 2012 - A Star Studded Celebration

  

  Buntara Sangha Kuwait (BSK) organized “Buntaayana 2012” an annual mega cultural event recently at the American International School.

  Bollywood star Suniel Shetty was the chief guest for the occasion along with Kannada music director GuruKiran and Filmfare award winning Sandalwood actress Yajna Shetty as guests. Bharata Natya Vidwan Kudkadi Vishwantah Rai graced the occasion as a guest of honour. BSK members welcomed the guests along with Tulunadu special drum beats and “Poorna Kumbha Swagatham”.   Buntara Sangha Kuwait (BSK) under the president ship of Sudhakar Shetty presented the much awaited Mega Cultural event ‘Buntaayana 2011’  sponsored by UAE Exchange at the Cambridge School Auditorium on Friday October 21, to full packed audience.
  The program started with prayer song followed by invocation dance directed by Sujaya Shetty, Reetha Shetty and Shanthala Menda.  Famous dignitaries and personalities of Bunts community Folklore expert Arya Laxmi Narayana Alva, Ex minister- MLA Ramanath Rai, Entrepreneur Shashi Kiran Shetty, Professor and Principal Balakrishna Shetty, Yakshagana fame Karnataka state award winner Aruya Koragappa Shetty and team, Hussein Al Shatty,  Ayed Al-Daajani  and Percely Varkey,  Country Head of UAE Exchange the Mega Sponsors of the event were the guests of honor.  They along with managing committee inaugurated the function by lighting the traditional lamp and decorating coconut flowers. • Bunts Get-Together

  

  Buntara Sangha Kuwait (BSK)with all its glory inaugurated their first event the “Bunts Get-Together” on Friday April 15, 2011 at the Canadian Bilingual School, South Khaitan. The function started with lighting the lamp and the special Yugadi pooja was conducted thereafter. The function was well attended by BSK members and their family. The event marked a new beginning among the members and towards the end of the day, the atmosphere were filled with joy and enthusiasm. The crowd were mesmerized by some outstanding performance by its own members. The ever-green tulu song “Yekka Sakka” was given a new face lift by the BSK “Bunta Bollilu” with some unmatched foot-steps. The yesteryear picturised melodious song “Paapi Bichua” was performed quite well.  The crowd was spellbound by the performance put by the Kids team and the solo Instrumental music by Master Nikhil Shetty on the organ and flute. Mr. Prakash Shetty once again proved he is a talented singer rendering couple of beautiful compositions.
  The much awaited traditional yugadi lunch from Avanti Palace treated the crowd with mouth-watering cuisines. The afternoon session lived to its expectation, with the members coming out of the nut-shell and participating heart filled.
